Where can I get a job?

I’ve been out of a job for going on five years, now. This song popped out, born of the frustration I’ve been feeling. I thought the millions out there with the same problem might identify. It’s also on the website: wherecanigetajob.com.

I even did a video. It’s available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wupbgThuWg

Today is the first day of the rest of your life

I came up with this phrase in the mid fifties, while I was in the army in Germany. In the mid sixties I wrote a song around it, while I was at Ackerman Advertising. We used it for Oklahoma City Federal Savings and Loan in a campaign that started on January first, 1970, and the phrase went around the world like a prairie fire. We received more than 50,000 cards and letters, and innumerable phone calls thanking us, telling us the words has brought broken families back together, stopped people from committing suicide, etc., etc. The phrase became an overnight cliché. I’ve added it here because I’ve had so many requests for it.
